FRANKFORT, Ky (LEX 18) – Family and friends of the Frankfort man who was stabbed and killed on Monday want police to catch his murderer. They say she is still on the run and is posting on social media to tell people about what happened.

Police said that Ashley Rene Jones stabbed Marcus Morris and left him to die. Friends tell LEX 18 that she posted a video on social media in which she said, "I ain’t no killer, but don’t push me."

The young father of two was killed on Monday and at his vigil Tuesday, his brother said everything was such an emotional blur.

"I didn’t know the full extent of what had happened. I just know that we were told we need to get here quick. And when we got here. It was bad, yeah there was nothing good about it," said Derrick Morris.

Police believe Morris and Jones got into an argument which led to the stabbing. They’ve issued a warrant for her arrest, but friends of Morris said she is still on the run and they think she is bragging about what happened on social media.

The found a post on a social media account that they say belongs to her. In it, the blame is shifted to Morris, saying "He ran up on me and ran into the blade. His mistake." The post also said, "I’ma stab or shoot the next grown man who tries me."

The video and the Facebook account have since been deleted, but friends hope the posts help police find Jones.

Frankfort police have not yet said whether the posts were made by Ashley Rene Jones.
