CLARK COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) It was an emotional, personal, and powerful moment as a community came together to grant a patient at Clark Regional Medical Center a wish.

Crystal Tackett said her father, Jack Sowder, is bedridden after a series of strokes and other illnesses. He told her he wanted to give the Lord his heart through a baptism, but considering his condition, they thought it wouldn’t be possible.

Minutes after Sowder told the nursing staff his request, through a miracle or the kindness of strangers, or maybe a combination of both, the wish came true.

It was all hands on deck Wednesday as the hospital staff worked with the Clark County Fire Department, Rural King, and High Point Apostolic Church, to make it happen.

Tackett posted the video on Facebook and hundreds have been touched by the message and the kindness it took to make it happen.

"There’s still hope for humanity you know you don’t see a lot of that," said Tackett.

Tackett said she is so thankful the hospital took her father’s request to heart and she said she finds peace in his decision.

"It’s something my whole life I’ve wanted to see my dad do and I just really feel like God made a way," she said.
