GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Western Kentucky man is in jail after he led police on a chase while on a tractor.
Deputies were called to Ky. 303, south of Mayfield around 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Dispatchers say someone called saying a tractor was traveling south, with no lights or slow moving emblem.
Deputies say they tried making a traffic stop, but the man wouldn’t stop, and told them he could not shut off the tractor.
One deputy was able to get out of his patrol car and jump onto the tractor and stop it.
The operator, Alex Garcia, is accused of giving deputies a fake name.
He faces multiple charges, including wanton endangerment and fleeing or evading police.
