LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – An adorable family of baby raccoons was reunited with their mother after being stuck inside the chimney of the home for 24 hours.
According to a post by the Kentucky Wildlife Center, the homeowners found the babies and took them to the rescue. They then set out to capture the mother so that they could be reunited.
This morning, the couple succeeded and returned the mother to her infants. A vet checked them out and all are okay.
"Our hearts are full knowing that this family can be together again and will be able to be slowly released once the babies are old enough to travel with mom," reads a post on the group’s Facebook page.
