LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Three people managed to escape from a house fire in Lexington Tuesday afternoon.
The fire broke out at a home on Nice Drive near Alexandria. Three people were inside the home at the time and were alerted to the danger by smoke detectors. No one was injured.
The fire spread through the basement, ground floor and attic
High temperatures affected the crews on scene, so firefighters cycled through shifts to stay cool in their heavy safety gear.
The cause has not been determined.
