LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Gov. Matt Bevin was in Lexington on Tuesday, where he spoke about an employment initiative, but also took time to address Monday’s Supreme Court ruling on sports gambling.

Bevin held a news conference to discuss his "Work Matters Task Force." But after an hour he also addressed the question of legalized sports gambling and the Supreme Court’s decision to allow states to decide how to approach the issue.

Bevin is going to have a decision to make, or at least a side to choose after Monday’s ruling reversed a federal ban on sports wagering outside of Nevada.

"I hope every one of our state representatives and senators is listening to the people in their communities, listening to those locally and those who have a broader voice, and let’s take those collective voices and decide what is the appetite in Kentucky to pursue or not pursue things now available to us as a result of this ruling."
