LONDON, Ky. (LEX 18)- Kentucky State Police are searching for a wanted person in Laurel County.
Troopers are searching for Caitlin W. Peters, 24, of London.
Peters has active warrants for Criminal Abuse 1st Degree as well as a Probation Violation Warrant. Officials say she abused and tortured her own 10-month-old child.
The case came to light back in August of 2017. Police won’t elaborate on what kind of injuries the child had.
"We received a call from UK Medical Center advising us they had a child with severe injuries," said Trooper Lloyd Cochran.
KSP detectives have searched all over for Peters, saying her last known address was on Line Creek Road in London. Police said she is a drifter.
”She has been staying with different people in different counties. That’s why we’re asking for the public’s help. Somebody knows where she is," said Cochran.
She is described as a white female 5’6’’ and weighing approximately 125 lbs.
