LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Mayor Jim Gray joined Urban League President and CEO P.G. Peeples to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the organization’s local founding in Lexington.
For years, the Urban League has helped African Americans and Disadvantaged Citizens to achieve social and economic equality. They have also worked to offer programs and job training.
The mayor’s office also declared today as "The Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County" Day.
