LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– If you see a person on the roof of your local Dunkin Donuts, don’t be alarmed.
Law enforcement volunteers across the state are sitting on the roofs Friday morning, from 6:30 a.m. till noon, to raise money for Special Olympics Kentucky athletes.
"Cops on Donut Shops" volunteers will be soliciting donations throughout the day in exchange for Dunkin Donuts discounts and other prizes.
Participating locations include: Erlanger (Commonwealth Ave.), Lexington (S. Broadway), London (HWY 129 W.), Louisville (Brownsboro Rd. and Newburg Rd.), Owensboro (Frederica St.), Richmond (Sylvia Dr.), and Somerset (S. HWY 27).
