BELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police say an escaped inmate has been apprehended in Bell County.
Authorities say 44-year-old Jeffery N. Howard of Ohio County failed to return to the Ohio County Jail on May 18 from a work release.
State police later said Howard stole gasoline from a station in Whitesville.
On Sunday morning, Trooper Corey King posted a message on Twitter saying Howard had been taken into custody.
Howard was captured by police in Bell County (Eastern KY).
