BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The families of several murder victims and missing persons gathered in Junction City to honor their loved ones.

The annual "Celebration of Life Candlelight Vigil’ makes sure no victim is forgotten.

“The candle symbolizes lighting the way home," said Leah Coomer, Lisa Green’s sister. Green is a mother of two who went missing back in 2014.

Home is where these families wish they were Sunday night with their loved ones.

But instead, they’re gathering together trying to bring comfort to one another.

“Lisa walked out of my dad’s back door on June 25th, 2014 wearing a white t-shirt and shorts," said Coomer.

Sandra Hasty organized the event and is the mom of Michael Gorley, who went missing in 2015, when he was driving towards Junction City.

She says she’s not giving up hope, and wants to bring others together like the families of Crystal Rogers, Tommy Ballard, Lisa Green, Linda Price, and many more.

“I just started researching and finding out how many more missing were, and how many more mothers are going through what I go through,” said Hasty.

And they’re all asking the same question, hoping to someday get answers about what happened to their loved ones.
