GRANT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Grant County community is on its third day without full running water.

The City of Corinth Water District has been working through the weekend to locate a leak in its pipes. Residents and businesses say they started noticing low water pressure Friday, and it was completely gone by Saturday morning.

The owners of Noble’s Truck Stop tell LEX 18 that without water to even wash their hands, they’ve had to close their restaurant. They said that missing Sunday business has been tough because that’s their busiest day of the week.

"He sent back probably 100-150 people in the parking lot. All the regular church crowd that comes in, at one point, they all came in at once, were in the parking lot and we had to send them back because of the water outage," said Sam Patel, the owner of Noble’s.

Water district officials have since been able to turn water lines back on, so most people will have a trickle of water. They ask that residents boil that water before consuming it.
