GRANT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Nearly 1,000 households in the city of Corinth continue to be without running water. It is a problem which dates back to last weekend.

On Wednesday, community members came together to offer donated bottled water to residents in need, but even those can only go so far.

City officials believe they discovered a leak in a pipe but aren’t certain if a repair will correct the problem. Residents and local businesses are all feeling the impact.

"This hurts every day. because, just because the revenue stops coming into our business, our bills don’t stop," said Dawn Henson, the owner at North Star Inn.

Henson said the lack of water is costing her business at the inn and cafe up to $1,500 a day.

"If there’s anybody out there who hears us, please, if they can donate water, bring it to the city building here in Corinth or the firehouse," said resident Linda Mosley.
