LOUISVILLE, Ky (WAVE 3/Courier Journal) Less than 24 hours after winning the primary race, an attorney running for Jefferson County district court judge has died.
WAVE 3 News reports that Attorney Danny Alvarez was a candidate for Kentucky District Court 30 Division 9 court judge. He was supposed to face Tanisha Ann Hickerson in November.
Exact details of his death have not been released, but the Courier Journal cites the candidate’s campaign manager, Jonathan Hurst, saying that Alvarez died at Baptist East Hospital Wednesday after collapsing at his home.
