POWELL COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) – Powell County voted in favor of alcohol sales Tuesday.
3,000 votes, or 64%, were in support of alcohol sales in Powell County.
1,699 votes, or 36%, were against alcohol sales in Powell County.
In the weeks leading up to this, there was tension around the vote. Thieves were caught on camera stealing campaign signs promoting the ‘yes’ vote on alcohol sales in the dry county.
