POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Forest Service has announced that Tunnel Ridge Road will reopen in the Red River Gorge sometime Friday.
Because of bad weather, the road rebuilding project was delayed several times, including Auxier Ridge and Gray’s Arch Shelter. It has been completely reconstructed.
The road offers access to some of the most popular parts of the forest. It’s been closed since the winter months.
