LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man is set to bee sentenced Friday for the death of his estranged girlfriend.

In April, a jury found Joseph Nestor guilty of murder and evidence tampering for the death of 25-year-old Amber Decker.

Decker’s body was found inside a plastic box near Nestor’s burned out home in 2015.

The jury recommended life in prison for the murder and five years for evidence tampering, to be served concurrently.

Nestor’s formal sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m.
