Garrard & Jessamine Counties (LEX 18) – Deputies say a double stabbing led to a multi-county chase and the suspect’s arrest in Garrard County.

They say it started Thursday evening with an incident on Cartersville Road near Lancaster, where they say two men were stabbed and badly hurt. We’re told the victims were flown to UK hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities say the suspect later went to a relative’s house in Nicholasville where he took an unspecified amount of money. Police from several counties spotted the suspect in a Nissan truck on Union Hill Road near the Madison & Jessamine County line. That began a nearly 40 miles chase that they say ended a stretch of HWY 563, where the driver allegedly tried to run away.

Deputies say they tracked the man down and arrested him on a list of charges, including two counts of attempted murder and unlawful imprisonment.

The names of the suspect and the victims have not been released yet.

This is a developing story and will be updated with new information as we get it.?
