MARION COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two people were killed and another was injured late Friday evening near Lebanon when the pickup truck crashed into a tree.
Kentucky State Police say 18-year-old David B. Lawson was driving a 2008 Ford F250 on East Lovers Lane when the truck left the roadway and hit tree.
Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene. One of his passengers, 21-year-old Shelby Goode of St. Francis, was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital, where she later died. A second passenger, 19-year-old Jeremiah Moore of Lebanon, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Authorities said none of the people in the truck was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
