PULASKI COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) It was an emotional night at Somerset High School’s graduation where a track and field star who was seriously injured in a crash was cleared to walk in his graduation.
On May 15, Tavian Wilson was in acrash on US 27.
The crash was just days before the state meet, which Wilson had worked towards his entire career.
“I sit next to him on the bus he was excited the entire way, he smiled home. Every time I brought up state he was like, ‘I’m going to it, I’m going to it! He was just so excited about going there’," said track and field athlete Blake Burton.
On Friday, Wilson walked across the stage at graduation as a crowd of people cheered him on.
