PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Authorities on Saturday afternoon identified an elderly man found slain in his Burnside home and issued an alert for a truck stolen from the property.

Officials with the Pulaski County Major Crimes Task Force said a sheriff’s deputy found the body of 87-year-old Arlie Owens on Friday morning inside his home in the Antioch area.

The task force is asking the public to be on the lookout for Owens’ 2001 white Ford Ranger with Kentucky license plate number 993-XWT, which they say was taken from the residence.

Officials caution anyone who spots the truck to call authorities immediately and not approach the vehicle or try to make contact with anyone inside it.

Task force officials say Owens’ body has been taken to Frankfort where the State Medical Examiner’s Office was schedule to perform an autopsy Saturday.
