NOBLESVILLE, In. (NBC NEWS) – One day after a school shooting in Indiana the NRA held an event to enroll new members in the same city.

One middle school student was there to protest the presence of the NRA in downtown Noblesville.

It was Friday when a student at Noblesville West Middle School shot another student and a teacher.

For that reason many residents were upset about the event.

The Hoosier Armory Gun Store sponsored Saturday’s visit from the NRA.

The store’s owner says the event was actually planned months ago.

But he does admit the timing was "terrible."

"It’s ridiculous, especially in Noblesville. It just happened yesterday in Noblesville. They’re recruiting members, no. Why? Why? What’s the point,” said Noblesville Resident Ashley Dick.
