CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The children of a man who was hit and killed on the side of the road in Clark County have a message Sunday night; they want whoever hit their father to know they won’t stop until they get justice.

They describe 45-year-old Ora Lee Brock as a beloved father and grandfather.

“He was always there for someone when they need him, give the shirt off your back type of person. no matter who it was, even it was an enemy he would still be there for you no matter what,” said Jamie Lee Brock, Ora’s daughter.

Jamie Lee Brock and Ashley Brock say they’re still in shock over the death of their father. Officers say he was stopped on the side of I-64 in Clark County on Friday doing a safety check of his equipment. Then, police say, Brock was hit by a semi that didn’t stop.

Now his family is hoping whoever is responsible will be caught.

“That’s my goal. I’m not going to stop ‘til he has justice. That’s what I want, my father’s justice. He did not want to die; he did not deserve to die. He was out there making a living for us honestly,” said Jamie Lee BrOck.

Investigators say the semi who hit brock is likely a 2009 or newer truck with damage to the front passenger side.

A call to the Clark County Sheriff for an update on the investigation was not returned Sunday evening.

Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced soon.
