LARUE COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) On Friday, KSP served a LaRue County Grand Jury Indictment warrant on a Louisville man in connection with the November 2017 crash that killed 28-year-old Stephanie Jensen.
KSP troopers served the indictment warrant on 33-year-old Matthew Howsden, of Louisville. He was indicted on one count of murder and one count of leaving the scene of an accident/ failure to render aid with death or serious physical injury. He was lodged in the LaRue County Jail under a $500,000 cash bond.
The crash happened on KY 210 at the intersection of Border’s Curve Loop.
Jensen’s vehicle was struck head-on by a Chevy Equinox that crossed the center line. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevy Equinox fled the scene on foot before emergency personnel arrived, according to KSP.
