MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A woman accused of killing a deputy jailer and injuring his wife will face a judge Thursday morning.
51-year-old Frances Zaayer is charged with murder, attempted murder, and burglary.
She is accused in a shooting that happened late Saturday evening on Washington Avenue in Mount Sterling.
Authorities say Zaayer entered her neighbors’ home around 8:15 p.m. Saturday and shot 47-year-old David Scott and his wife.
David was pronounced dead at the hospital, while his wife was taken to UK Hospital with injuries.
Zaayer will be arraigned around 9:45 a.m. in Montgomery County.
