LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Police are investigating an overnight armed robbery at a Lexington sandwich shop.
According to officials, a store employee was taking trash outside of the Jimmy John’s on Waller Avenue near Harrodsburg Road when he was approached by a man with a gun.
The suspect told the employee to go back inside the store and get cash from safe. The man made off with an unspecified amount of money before fleeing on foot.
Police say he was wearing gray sweats and glasses. If you have information, give police a call.
