BOYD COUNTY, Ky (WSAZ) – The Boyd County Coroner is asking for help identifying a man found dead on railroad tracks in the southern part of the county.

Reportedly a passerby spotted the man’s body on railroad tracks and then called 911.

Boyd County Sheriff’s Deputies say the man’s injuries are consistent with being hit by a train, but now the coroner is struggling to idenfity the man.

The man’s description according to officials is a white male standing 5’9” to 5’11”, and between 25-30 years of age. They estimate he weighs around 145-150 pounds with very short blonde, reddish hair and hazel eyes. Officials report he was wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt under a gray t-shirt, an Under Armour black baseball hat and slip on brown work boots.

The man’s right arm had a sleeve tattoo with skulls throughout the design. His right forearm had a tattoo reading “KOTTON MOUTH” in green ink. His inner right forearm had a tattoo of a black spade. The outside of his right upper forearm had a tattoo of a woman looking over her shoulder, and his lower right forearm had a tattoo of a marijuana leaf in green ink. The man’s lower inner left forearm includes a tattoo of the word “KINGS” in green ink.

Anyone who might know who the man is should call the Boyd County Coroner Mark Hammond at 606-923-8309.
