WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A group of hikers is safe Monday morning after being rescued in the Red River Gorge.
Wolfe County Search and Rescue posted to Facebook saying they got a call from the lost hikers around 8:30 p.m. Sunday night.
They tracked down the hikers in the Silvermine Arch area about an hour later.
Rescue crews say the group was wise by calling 911 upon realizing they were lost, and staying in one place until being found.
