LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Several people in the area of Malabu Drive were without power Tuesday morning.
Daniel Lowry, with Kentucky Utilities, said that around 7 a.m. a squirrel made contact with a wire, causing the transformer to shut down for safety reasons.
Around 1,000 people were impacted.
Power is expected to be restored by 9 a.m.
