Lexington Police Identify Suspect In 2016 Murder

LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) Lexington Police say that investigators have identified a suspect in the 2016 shooting death of a Lexington woman using witness statements and DNA evidence.

A warrant for murder was served Thursday, June 7, 2018, for 26-year-old Jarvis D. Garrett, of Georgetown. 

Lexington Police say Garrett is accused of killing 46-year-old Stephanie Mullins in the early morning hours of August 7, 2016. 

Her body was located behind an apartment building on Cross Keys Road in the area of Wolf Run Park.

Garrett is currently lodged in the Hart County Jail on an unrelated charge.
