Officials: Inmate Who Walked Away From Northpoint Quickly Apprehended

BURGIN, Ky. (LEX 18)– A minimum-security inmate at Northpoint Training Center was apprehended around 4:44 a.m. Friday after walking off from the prison approximately three hours earlier.

Alfred Knox was apprehended by Northpoint staff on Highway 68. He was returned to the prison and placed in the restricted housing unit. He will now face escape charges.

Knox is serving a five-year sentence for assault second-degree and tampering with physical evidence.
