LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) Family and friends remembered a former Henry Clay High School and Asbury University student-athlete who drowned last weekend at Lake Norris in Lafollette, Tennessee.

Jordan Houston was 20-years-old when he died. His loved ones gathered at First Baptist Church Bracktown Friday night to remember him.

"Jordan was a great guy," said his friend Josh Woolridge. "We’re definitely going to miss him."

The two were friends for years. Josh said that Jordan was like a brother to him.  He said that the vigil Friday night showed how Jordan related with everyone.

"It shows you how he can relate with people and people can socialize with everyone…teammates, classmates… he had a good personality, a good vibe," said Josh.

Jordan was in the first graduating class at the Carter G. Wilson Academy and a member of "Black Males Working", a close-knit group of young men who all came out to remember their classmate.

Services will be held Saturday morning starting at 10:30 a.m. at Lexington’s Crestlawn Christian Church.
