LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Corbin woman was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from charges brought in Florida.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested 59-year-old Sandra K. Thomas on Friday at a residence off American Greeting Card Road.
According to authorities, Thomas was charged with being a fugitive from Florida on charges of battery and resisting arrest.
Officials said those charges originated from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
Laurel County officials said Florida authorities plan to extradite Thomas back to state to face charges.
Thomas currently is being held in the Laurel County detention Center.
