CRITTENDEN, Ky. (WLWT) — A toddler is dead after being found unresponsive in a vehicle in Grant County.
WLWT reports here that 2-year-old girl died Saturday about 6 p.m. in the area of Big Bear Circle in Crittenden.
Police say neighbors found the girl, then rushed to pull her from the vehicle.
Police say the girl may have suffered heat stroke. She was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Investigators were trying to find out how the toddler ended up in the hot car and how long she was there before she was found.
They say it’s too early to say if anyone will face charges in the case.
