CAMPTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Two hikers got an unexpected surprise while walking in the Red River Gorge this weekend.
Angela Turner, one of the hikers, posted a photo of the puppies to her social media. Turner says she and a friend found the animals dumped over the side of a trail.
"Post hike at the Gorge. We stumbled upon an abandoned litter of puppies off the trail. Who needs one? Also, can you find a pile of puppies and not keep one? That’s a rule, right?" wrote Turned.
Turner tells LEX 18 that she has found homes for three of the animals. Two more still need homes and, of course, Turner is adopting one herself.
