PIKEVILLE, Ky. (EKB) — A Pike County woman is facing misdemeanor charges after a bizarre incident at Pikeville Medical Center over the weekend.
According to EKB News, Pikeville Police were called to the hospital around 3 a.m. Sunday after someone spotted a naked woman sitting in the flower bed outside of the emergency room.
When officers arrived, they found Bridgett Mullins, 44, of Ashcamp, allegedly still sitting in the flowerbed, completely nude. When officers ask Mullins why she was nude she reportedly responded that she wanted to “become one with Mother Earth.”
After refusing several requests to put on her clothes or else be arrested, officers then tried to cuff Mullins, when she allegedly became combative, knocking the two officers out of the flowerbed and onto the pavement.
Police say it ultimately required both officers and two hospital security guards to restrain Mullins.
Mullins was taken to jail and charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. She has been released from jail.
