LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky. (WPSD)– Kentucky State Police say they will be seeking murder charges after a teen has died following a shooting at a party.
15-year-old Peyton Hurt was shot while attending a party in Ledbette on Saturday night.
Hurt was on life support until her organs could be donated. She was pronounced dead Sunday evening.
Two people were arrested in connection to the incident.
19-year-old Tyler Jones is currently charged with assault 1st degree. Troopers say they will seek to change that to murder during Jones’ scheduled arraignment.
20-year-old Alexis Johnson is charged with hindering apprehension.
