Owners Of Ballet Academy Accused Of Sexually Abusing Student

OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A couple is behind bars after being accused of sexually abusing one of their ballet students.

Police arrested 54-year-old Declan McAuley and 35-year-old Ariadne (Conner) McAuley, of Crestwood, Tuesday on a warrant issued by the Oldham County District Court.

Officials say the investigation revealed that on at least seven occasions between Aug. 11, 2017 and Dec. 10, 2017, both engaged in sexual acts with a juvenile female at their home. Mr. McAuley is additionally accused of having sex in front of the victim with the co-defendant.

The juvenile was a student and an employee of the Fleur-De-Lis Ballet Academy located in Louisville that is owned and operated by the McAuleys.

Both subjects were charged with multiple counts of Sexual Abuse 1st degree, and Unlawful Transaction w/ a minor 1st degree. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Oldham County Detention Facility.
