Walmart is expanding its online grocery delivery service to Lexington. Lexington will be the 18th area nationwide to receive the service.
Here’s how it works:
- Customers visit walmart.com/grocery or pull up the Walmart Grocery app, enter their zip codes and create their shopping list. During checkout, they select a time for their order to be delivered. At the time of checkout, customers will pay the delivery fee. No money is exchanged at the customer’s door.
- Walmart shoppers will then carefully select the freshest produce, meats, and other items that the customer requested. All the orders are backed by the Walmart freshness guarantee.
- Delivery partners will directly deliver to the customer’s location during the 1-hour delivery window they choose.
- Customers can get their first order delivered for free with promo code FRESHCAR with a $50 minimum order.
The delivery fee is $9.95. Walmart said that the prices are the same through the delivery program as they are in store.
