LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) A gas station on Main Street in Stanford was broken into Thursday morning just before the manager opened for the day.
In the surveillance video, you can see the burglar throw a brick through the front door before entering. He went to the cash register. Surveillance also showed he attempted to break into the station’s ATM but had no luck.
The Valero station is within a few feet of both the Stanford Police Department and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Offices.
"I think all he was looking for was money and cigarettes. That’s all he got was ‘roll change’ and stuff out of the register and several cartons of cigarettes," said Valero Station Manager Gary Atkins.
