GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials in Georgetown are reporting an electrical power outage affecting thousands on the town’s east side.
Kentucky Utilities is reporting about 6,000 customers are without power near Interstate Highway 75 and Cherry Blossom Way.
Officials with the power company said they do not know the cause of the outage and expect it to persist into the afternoon.
Country Boy Brewing said its Georgetown brewery was affected by the outage.
Due to an unexpected power outage in Georgetown this morning, the Georgetown brewery will be closed until later today. We will update as soon as power is back! Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience!
