GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — An equipment failure at a substation in Georgetown knocked power out to thousands of customers Saturday before being restored.
Kentucky Utilities spokesman Daniel Lowery tells LEX 18 that power was out from about 11 a.m. to just before 1 p.m. in an area on the town’s east side.
Lowry said about 6,000 customers, including homes and businesses, lost power near Interstate Highway 75 and Cherry Blossom Way.
Country Boy Brewing said its Georgetown brewery was affected by the outage.
