COVINGTON, Ky. (WLWT) — Three people, including a juvenile, are facing charges after the body of a missing woman who was fighting cancer was found in a wooded area.

WLWT reports here that 58-year-old Denita Satchwell was reported missing a week ago. Her body was found late Thursday in a wooded area near Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, police said.

Friends say the woman was battling cancer.

"This is just all heart-sickening to me. She’s very sweet, very sweet," friend Darlene Lancaster said.

Neighbors last saw Satchwell at her home on Birch Avenue last Saturday. Now her apartment is sealed with crime tape.

"As soon as we started digging into it, we determined there was definitely some foul play," Covington Police Lt. Col. Brian Steffen said.

Three people faces charges in the case.

A juvenile faces a raft of charges in Satchwell’s death, including murder, robbery and tampering with evidence. The specifics surrounding the allegations have not been released.

In addition, officials said 18-year-old Breadon Todd Reaves, of Erlanger, faces a charge of facilitation to a homicide in connection with Satchwell’s death.

Police have also arrested Kenneth Maurice Jones, 38. He is charged with murder, robbery and evidence tampering.

Officials said Jones has two active warrants for his arrest for a probation violation and failing to appear in court.

"They have to be really hard up for something to do something like that to a sweet person. She was just very sweet," Lancaster said.

First responders helped recover the victim’s body in the remote field near Rabbit Hash on Thursday.

Investigators have not said how they discovered Satchwell’s body in Boone County, or if there is any relationship between the victim and the two people arrested.
