LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Georgetown Road between Berea Road and Iron Works Pike was shutdown in both directions due to an injury collision involving three vehicles.
Police say it happened around 11:38 a.m. when an SUV travelling outbound Georgetown Road came around a curve and crossed the center line, striking a long trailer that was being pulled by a pickup truck. The SUV then hit another large pickup truck and the driver of the SUV was ejected, leading police to originally believe a pedestrian had been hit.
The driver and two passengers in the SUV were transported to the hospital for their injuries.
