Former Firefighter Indicted On 30 Sex Crimes Charges

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (Richmond Register)– A former Richmond firefighter has been indicted on a total of 30 sex crime charges against a minor.

Ronald Shane Allen, 41, who resigned just after his arrest in April, had an indictment returned against him Wednesday by a grand jury. The indictment levies 14 counts of felony incest, nine counts of sodomy, five counts of third-degree rape, and two felony counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

According to the Richmond Register, Allen faces a sentence of up to 20 years on each count of incest, and between 5 and 10 years each for the other charges.

Allen has remained in the Madison County Detention Center since his April 18 arrest, according to online jail records
