Deputies Responding To Serious Accident In Scott County

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Deputies are responding to a serious single-vehicle crash on Johnson Mill Road and Newtown Pike in Scott County.

Officials with the sheriff’s office say the truck was coming from Georgetown when the driver came around the curb and flipped. The driver told deputies he was trying to avoid a deer.

The passenger in the truck has life-threatening injuries.

The two occupants are a father and son.

Currently, the roadway is shut down from Lemons Mill Road to Stone Road. They estimate the roadway will be closed 3 hours for reconstruction.
