LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18/WAVE 3) – The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Louisville on Tuesday.
Preliminary information from the damage survey in northeast Jefferson County indicated an EF-1 tornado with 88 mph winds. The survey is ongoing and crews with the weather service are still on scene.
Residents told WAVE 3 News that trees were ripped out of the ground and roofing was torn off in the Westport Road area of the city.
