LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police are searching for a suspect accused of fleeing police during a traffic stop.
It happened just after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on Pemberton Street.
Police say an officer was checking out an occupied car on the street. While taking the driver’s information, the driver sped off and damaged the officer’s cruiser.
A short chase then started but ended after the driver went over an embankment.
Officers believe they may have a suspect, but did not release information.
The cruiser suffered minor damage and the officer was not hurt.
