LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18 ) – A man was taken into custody after a two-county chase that started in Woodford County.
The chase started in Versailles this afternoon when police tried to pull over a car. Officers say the driver had nearly hit a police officer. The chase crossed into Lexington and ended up in a neighborhood off Leestown Road on Chestnut Ridge Road.
That’s where police say the driver ditched the car and started running across Leestown Road. Officers managed to tackle the suspect. Lexington police did assist in the arrest, but they say this was mainly a Versailles police investigation.
