BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO)– The neighbor accused of assaulting Senator Rand Paul has filed a counter suit.
Doctor Rene Boucher was sentenced to 30 days in prison and must pay a $10,000 fine.
Paul suffered rib fractures and dealt with recurrent pneumonia in the aftermath of the incident.
Earlier this week, Paul filed a civil suit asking for damages for physical pain and suffering.
WBKO is reporting that Boucher’s counter suit claims Paul violated the homeowner’s association bylaws, and seeks to dismiss Paul’s suit against him.
